
About TAFEcyber
TAFEcyber is an Australian based consortium focusing on the skilling of the fast-growing Cyber Security workforce through education and training.
As a successful initiative awarded funding through the AustCyber Projects Fund in 2019, TAFEcyber is a national consortium of VET providers, providing a collaborative and innovative approach to cyber security training across Australia.
TAFEcyber’s work focuses on achieving a consistently high level of quality for cyber security training through course material enhancement, ensuring industry currency of its lecturers and providing graduates who are skilled to meet the demands of the Cyber Security industry.

Australian Government Australian Signals Directorate’s Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC). The ACSC leads the Australian Government’s efforts to improve cyber security.
Future Skills Organisation (FSO). FSO is a Jobs and Skills Council focused on the skills needed for careers in the finance, technology and business sectors.

The Essential Eight Assessment Course - The ACSC is working with TAFEcyber as a delivery partner to grow a pool of Essential Eight Assessors nationwide who can assist government and industry better apply the Essential Eight Assessment Guidance Package more accurately and consistently. This training course is designed to provide individuals with the understanding of how to perform an assessment of an organisation’s maturity against the Essential Eight Maturity Model. The Essential Eight Maturity Model describes eight strategies that organisations can use to mitigate the effects of a cyber-attack. In time, this training course will become a stepping stone course for prospective Infosec Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) assessors to complete their professional pathway to full IRAP endorsement and form a key part of the Australian cyber security training ecosystem.

A national student Cyber Battle event with the Australian Cyber Collaboration Centre (Aus3C), using the skills needed for industry in a simulated environment. This event ensures our students can compete on a national scale and to industry expectations.
