Essential Eight Essentials Course

Developed and delivered by the TAFEcyber Consortium, this new 18-hour Essential Eight Essentials Course is for technical and non-technical professionals at the beginning of their ‘Essential Eight’ journey.

The Essential Eight Essentials Course has been created by the TAFEcyber Consortium in response to industry need for an Essential Eight ‘introductory’ course and is delivered by TAFEcyber members.

The Essential Eight Essentials Course provides an in-depth introduction to the Australian Signals Directorate’s (ASD) Essential Eight Maturity Model. During the course participants will gain an appreciation of the history, context, and overall purpose of the Essential Eight cyber security mitigation strategies as well as an understanding of the key requirements of each mitigation strategy. Learning will be reinforced by practical exercises conducted in a lab environment.

It's about people as much as technology, encouraging individuals to contribute to a safer digital future.
