Tracie Thompson is the CEO of HackHunter, a cyber security start-up ensuring WiFi is used for good. With its innovative solutions, HackHunter helps organisations accurately detect, track and locate the source of unauthorised, and potentially malicious, WiFi in real-time. She has led HackHunter from idea through three accelerator programs (Startmate, CyRise and SBE Australia) to product launch, and is responsible for the commercialisation of the HackHunter technology. Previously Tracie was co-owner and COO of a security consulting and software company with over 200 customers including Medibank, Centrelink, HostPlus, Village Roadshow and Allianz Insurance.
Tracie has over 15 years of experience in information security, cyber security and business management, including leading two successful business exits. She is also an industry and start-up mentor, championing women in tech.
Mike Thompson is the CTO and Co-founder of HackHunter, a cyber security company ensuring WiFi is used for good. HackHunter produces purpose-built cyber security tools that detect and actually locate unauthorised and malicious WiFi in real-time. Mike is an IoT expert with over 25 years of experience in Information and Cyber Security. Amongst his many roles, he has worked as a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for an Insurance Company, Consulted to over 50 organisations, including Telstra, NAB and the Privacy Commission, Uncovered computer fraud, and Legally hacked organisations.
Provided investigation and advisory services at the highest levels in government across topics as diverse as biometrics and satellite surveillance systems. Previously Mike was co-founder and CTO of a security consulting and software company, where he headed up the Security practice and designed and developed multi-award-winning business continuity and security software.
